Resources that company has such as capital, method, and machine will not give optimum result if it does not supported by excellent human resources to produce the maximum performance. One of the factors that can increase the employee performance is the leadership style of the leader.
In private companies such as PT. TX Bandung, maximum employee performance is needed because it can help company to be develop. PT. TX Bandung has some problems with their targets. They didn’t reach their sales target in January-April 2015 and their growth was decreased compared by 2014. One of the factors that can help company to achieve their target and increased their productivity is the employee.
Researcher interested to analyze the transformational and transactional leadership, which have impact to the employee performance. The objective of this research is to find the relationship between transformational and transactional to employee performance and to find the significant relationship in PT. TX Bandung. In this research, researcher used multiple regression analysis method for the statistical analysis technique. Total respondents on this research are 92 employees.
The result of the analysis shows that transformational and transactional leadership style has positive relationship to the employee performance. Transformational and transactional leadership also has significant effect to employee performance, either partially or concurrently. This study recommends that leader in PT. TX Bandung to increase their attitude in encouraged, motivated, gives supports and recognition, and providing rewards to the subordinates. Thus, employees are expected to become more optimal in performing the jobs. |
