Description
Summary:Spectrophotometric Method Fourier - Transform Infrared (FTIR), was developed and validated for the quantitative analysis of Amoxycillin trihydrate tablet of 7 industrial (5 generic and 2 trademarks) different circulating in the local pharmacies in the city. Specificity, linearity, precision, accuracy, limit of detection and quantitation limits have been determined for method validation. HPLC is an analytical standards listed in the pharmacopeia are often used to test the concentration of Amoxicillin trihydrate inspection tablet. Analysis by HPLC method requires a lot of solvents and testing quite a long time, therefore, carried out the development method using FTIR spectroscopy as an alternative method of measurement in order to streamline and improve efficiency by minimizing the use of solvents samples and analyzes can be performed in a short tigne. In addition to instrument method, do also test the potential of microbiological samples. The test results with FTIR, obtained by the equation y x 47.49 3068 linear in the concentration range 3-15 mg / mg with a correlation coefficient of r = 0.9995; linear regression coefficient of variation (Vxo) amounted to 1.6856%; limits of detection and quantitation limits respectively 0.0491 and 0.1489. Values first day of testing precision coefficient of variation of 0.57%, the second day of testing at 0.44% and the test on the third day by 0.99%. The test results potency against bacterial antibiotic Amoxicillin trihydrate Sarcina lutea equation y 11.05 x + 4.278 with a correlation coefficient r 0.973 and percent of its potential range between 94.27% -102.23%. While the results of the antibiotic amoxicillin trihydrate potency test against Staphylococcus aureus equation y = 6.668x + 9.788 with a correlation coefficient of r 0.9899 and the percent of its potential range between 83.06% - 115.45%. Based on the overall results obtained, it can be concluded that the method of FTIR spectroscopy gives a better result than the microbiological test. The FTIR method has been-successfully developed and can be used for the assay of Amoxicillin trihydrate in tablet fon-n.
