This study area was the area of distribution of Formation Cinambo. Geological observation was in Cirompoki River, Kadu River, and Cimaningtim River. This activity is done taking outcrops description data and rock samples for granulometry and biostratigraphy analysis. The stratigraphy of Cinambo Formation is divided into mudstone-sandstone unit (facies D), sandstone-mudstone units (facies C), Sandstone Unit (facies B) and claystone units (facies E). This formation were deposited in the mechanism of high density turbidite current. Plankton fossils showed that these formation was sediment on Middle Miocen to Early Pliocene (N11-N18) in upper bathyal zone environment. Integration result of sediment profiles and granulometry showing that sedimentation of Cinambo Formation have characteristics to coarsening upward, poorly-very poorly sorted, thickening upward. The vertical succession of Fm. Cinambo sandstone caused by current mechanisms of saltation, suspension, traction that change according to depositional environment. This formation was deposited in outer submarine fan turning into middle submarin fan. Environmental change caused by influenced of eustacy in relative sea level fall. text
