The urbanization process needs to be controlled considering that the North Bandung area has an important role in maintaining the sustainability of life in the city of Bandung, starting from the supply of clean water and groundwater and prevention of disasters, such as flash floods. Lembang District, which is also part of the North Bandung Area (KBU), also has the potential for large disasters, such as earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, and ground movements. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to provide recommendations for land use for the Lembang District settlement for sustainable development based on West Java Regional Regulation No. 2 of 2016 concerning the guidelines for controlling the North Bandung Area (KBU) as the provincial strategic area (KSP) of West Java. There are three analyses carried out in this research, namely the analysis of environmental geology discretion, environmental geology unit, and recommendation of the KBU control zone. The analysis of environmental geological discretion uses the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) Overlay method with 3 groups of parameters, each of which is weighted based on the analysis of the judgments of experts, and then eliminate the area with the elimination zones which are then used as Strict (Non-Freedom) Zones. Parameters groups and their respective weights consist of: Groundwater (0.303); surface physical aspects (0.284); and disaster hazards (0.414). The results of the analysis of environmental geological discretion in Lembang Subdistrict consist of four zones of environmental geological discretion, namely the Medium High Discretion Zone, the Medium Low Discretion Zone, the Low Discretion Zone, and the Strict (Non-Freedom) Zone. Based on environmental geological characteristics, Lembang District is divided into four units, namely Environmental Geology Unit 1, Environmental Geology Unit 2, Environmental Geology Unit 3, and Environmental Geology Unit 4. The analysis of the KBU control zone recommendations is carried out based on two main parameters, namely the RTRW of West Java Province 2009-2029 and analysis of the potential for groundwater infiltration. Analysis of the potential for groundwater infiltration was carried out using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) Overlay method. The results of the analysis of the potential for groundwater infiltration in Lembang District resulted in two zones, namely the High Potential Zone and the Medium Potential Zone. Then, zone recommendations are obtained from the combination of the land use planning zones with potential groundwater absorption zones, and also the elimination zones. The results of the analysis obtained five zones, namely L1 (Main Protected Zone), L2 (Additional Protected Zone), B3 (Rural Limited Use Zone), B4 (Urban Limited Use Zone), and B5 (Urban Very Limited Use Zone). Spatial planning recommendations based on the geological aspects of environmental management will be given based on the results of environmental geological discretion analysis, environmental geological unit analysis, and recommendation analysis for KBU control zones. text |

Currently, the massive urbanization process in Bandung City has spread new
settlements around Bandung City, which has created a Bandung Metropolitan
Agglomeration Area. The urbanization process needs to be controlled considering
that the North Bandung area has an important role in maintaining the sustainability
of life in the city of Bandung, starting from the supply of clean water and
groundwater and prevention of disasters, such as flash floods. Lembang District,
which is also part of the North Bandung Area (KBU), also has the potential for large
disasters, such as earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, and ground movements.
Therefore, the purpose of this study is to provide recommendations for land use for
the Lembang District settlement for sustainable development based on West Java
Regional Regulation No. 2 of 2016 concerning the guidelines for controlling the
North Bandung Area (KBU) as the provincial strategic area (KSP) of West Java.
There are three analyses carried out in this research, namely the analysis of
environmental geology discretion, environmental geology unit, and
recommendation of the KBU control zone. The analysis of environmental
geological discretion uses the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) Overlay method
with 3 groups of parameters, each of which is weighted based on the analysis of the
judgments of experts, and then eliminate the area with the elimination zones which
are then used as Strict (Non-Freedom) Zones. Parameters groups and their
respective weights consist of: Groundwater (0.303); surface physical aspects
(0.284); and disaster hazards (0.414). The results of the analysis of environmental
geological discretion in Lembang Subdistrict consist of four zones of environmental
geological discretion, namely the Medium High Discretion Zone, the Medium Low
Discretion Zone, the Low Discretion Zone, and the Strict (Non-Freedom) Zone.
Based on environmental geological characteristics, Lembang District is divided into
four units, namely Environmental Geology Unit 1, Environmental Geology Unit 2,
Environmental Geology Unit 3, and Environmental Geology Unit 4.
The analysis of the KBU control zone recommendations is carried out based on two
main parameters, namely the RTRW of West Java Province 2009-2029 and analysis
of the potential for groundwater infiltration. Analysis of the potential for
groundwater infiltration was carried out using the Analytical Hierarchy Process
(AHP) Overlay method. The results of the analysis of the potential for groundwater
infiltration in Lembang District resulted in two zones, namely the High Potential
Zone and the Medium Potential Zone. Then, zone recommendations are obtained
from the combination of the land use planning zones with potential groundwater
absorption zones, and also the elimination zones. The results of the analysis
obtained five zones, namely L1 (Main Protected Zone), L2 (Additional Protected
Zone), B3 (Rural Limited Use Zone), B4 (Urban Limited Use Zone), and B5 (Urban
Very Limited Use Zone). Spatial planning recommendations based on the
geological aspects of environmental management will be given based on the results
of environmental geological discretion analysis, environmental geological unit
analysis, and recommendation analysis for KBU control zones. |
