One of the water treatment plants (IPA) of PERUMDA Tirta Pakuan is Dekeng WTP. Dekeng WTP is located on Jl. Dekeng No. 5, Genteng, South Bogor District, Bogor City, West Java. Dekeng IPA consists of two installations, namely Dekeng I WTP and Dekeng II WTP. Dekeng I WTP has a treatment capacity of 1,100 liters/second and Dekeng II WTP of 600 liters/second. The rapid increase in population, accompanied by an increase in demand for clean water supply, has resulted in the amount of clean water produced having to increase rapidly so that the existing installations cannot meet these needs. This is the impetus for planning the development of Dekeng II WTP with redesign planning through uprating. Based on the Regional Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMD) of Bogor City in 2019-2024 states that Dekeng II WTP can be optimized up to 763 liters/second. Thus, planning to increase the processing capacity of Dekeng II WTP by 150 liters /second. The increase can meet the water demand in the Dekeng WTP service area until 2028. Therefore, the planning period chosen is 5 years, from 2023-2028. The increase is also reviewed from the water capacity that can be received by the Ciherang Pondok intake. The raw water source used by Dekeng WTP is from the Cisadane River. For the selected treatment unit configuration, it is still using the same system as the current existing conditions. The existing treatment unit configuration is coagulation, flocculation, sedimentation, filtration, disinfection, and sludge drying bed. For units that will be uprated, namely the sedimentation unit and filtration unit by adding units and changing dimensions. The sedimentation unit will change the position of the plate settler room, overflow channel, and freeboard to be higher. The height of the plate settler room becomes 1.6 m, the distance between the plate and the water level is 0.6 m, and the freeboard is 0.6 m. For the filtration unit, 2 units were added with a gravity rapid sand filter system. All filtration units have the same dimensions as the existing ones, namely 9 m long, 4.5 m wide, and 7.85 m high. text |
