Feet exercise is also important especially to treat symptoms of peripheral neuropathy. The objective of this research is to implement clinical nutrition in order to reduce blood glucose level and feet exercise to treat peripheral neuropathy symptoms in type 2 diabetes mellitus patient at Sukarasa Community Health Center and Ibu dan Anak Clinic Bandung City. The research is begin with interview to select patients that suitable with the inclusion criteria. The interview data is used to perform clinical nutrition which is suitable to the daily menu of patient and type of exercise according to physical condition of patient. Patients were divided into two groups, i.e., test and control groups with 20 patients in each group. The clinical nutrition applicated in this study are the nutrient containing 1500-1800 C which were given two times a day for 7 days. During delivery the clinical nutrition, treatment and feet exercise were also educated. Random plasma glucose level and peripheral neuropathy symptoms severity were determined as parameter observed in this study. Result showed that there was a significant decreased (p<0.01) in random plasma glucose level in test group, i.e. day 0 : 270.95±44.52 mg/dL to 218.25±38.78 mg/dL at day 3, and 207.15±44.54 mg/dL at day 7, and 30 days after application clinical nutrition stopped, the random plasma glucose level of the patient remain controlled (212.9 ±41.93 mg/dL). While control group did not showed any change in random plasma glucose level i.e. (Day 0 : 262.25±53.44 mg/dL, day 3 : 270.55±72.56 mg/dL, day 7 : 252.85±59.18 mg/dL, and day 30 : 269.2±56.59 mg/dL). After 7 days application of feet exercise, the number of peripheral neuropathy patient with severe pain condition reduced from 40% to 5%, and for moderate pain reduced from 45% to 15%. While for control group, there was no reduction in pain condition of peripheral neuropathy patient. Based on this study, application of clinical nutrition with calories management can reduce random plasma glucose significantly. Regularly feet exercise is needed to reduce pain severity in peripheral neuropathy patient. Regularly monitoring of clinical nutrition and treatment as well as feet exercise can control random plasma glucose level of type 2 diabetes mellitus patient. text
