Citrus is belong to Rutaceae family have high antioxidant capacities due -to its phenolic and flavonoid content- The aims of this research were to determine antioxidant activity of various leaf ext-acts from five of citrus (Citrus reticulata, Citrus maxima, Citrus limon, Citrus hystrix and Citrus aurantifolia) by determining IC50 of DPPH (2,2-diphenyl-1-picry1hydrazyl) and ECSD of FRAP (Ferric Reducing Antioxidant Power) of leaf extracts from five of citrus; total phenolic, flavonoid and carotenoid content; correlation oftotal phenolic, flavonoid and carotenoid content with their IC50 ofDPPH scavenging activities and EC50 of FRAP capacities, and correlation of two antioxidmt methods in sample extracts. Methods: Ex1r*CtiOn -was conducted by using -various polarüies solvents. Each extract were observed by thin layer chromatography (TLC). Determination of IC50 ofDPPH, ECsc of FRAP, total phenolic, flavonoid and carotenoid content were carried out by UV-visibIe spectrophotOmetry, its correlation 'with Of DPPH and ECSO or FRAP and COrreIation between two antioxidant methods were analyzed by Pearson's method. Results: ICS!) of DPPH of ethyl acetat leaves extract offive citrus varied from 7.23 to 37.54 gg/mL and EC500fFRAP in the range of 92.92-99.86 gg/mL Ethyl acetat leaves extract of C- hystrix showed the highest phenolic content (7.51 g GAE 1100 g) and the highest flavonoid content (19.46 g QE/100g), while ethyl acetate leaves exfract of C. limon gave the highest carotenoid total (12.63 g BE/IOO g). Phenolic total in C attranüfolia leaves extract had significantly negative correlation with its IC50 of DPPH and of FRAP (pQOl). ICso of DPPH scavenging activities of C hystrix and C. aurantifolia leaves extracts had positive and siyüficant correlation with their EC50 of FRAP capacities •0<0.01)- Conclusions: Ethyl acetat -leaves extracts of C- -reficulata, C C limon, C hystrix and C auranlifolia can be categorized as very strong antioxidant by DPPH method. Phenolic compounds were major contributor in antioxidant activity of C auranlifolia leaves extract using DPPH and FRAP assays. DPPH and FRAP metho&, gave linear results in C hystrü, C auranlifolia leaves extracts. text
