One of these limitations is maximum load of dissolved contaminant. This research takes location at Lamoare Catchment those parts of nickel mining operation location. This condition will make an impact to the quality of water, especially dissolved Fe, Ni, Mn and Cr.

This researchs goal is to delineate Lamoare Catchment and to measure loading potential of dissolved Fe, Ni, Mn and Cr as water contaminant and to know if the governments standard of liquid waste for industrial activity is fulfil.

Lamoare Catchment Area is about 2,042.4 Ha with at least 8 tributary that gives contribution of water contaminant to this catchments outlet. With Rational Method, this catchments optimum discharge than contains dissolved Fe, Ni, Mn and Cr can be predicted, with measurement of runoff coefficient and rainfall intensity of each subcatchment. Lamoare catchment has optimum discharge about 2,317.7 l/s that can contain dissolved Fe, Ni, Mn and Cr 0.6427 mg/l, 0.0678 mg/l, 0.1268 mg/l and 1.8682 mg/l every second.

Based on Environmental Ministry Decision No: 3 Tahun 1998, the result of actual loading pollution for dissolved Fe, Ni and Mn at LC3 (Lamoare Creek outlet) is under the maximum loading pollution allowed. For dissolved Cr, the actual loading pollution is above the maximum loading pollution. Therefore, based on Environmental Ministry Decision No: 3 Tahun 1998, Lamoare Catchment has fulfil the standard of liquid waste for industrial activity for dissolved Fe, Ni and Mn parameters, but not for dissolved Cr parameter yet.
text
