Description
Summary:A study of the consequences of the wave-current interaction in the Merak Port nearshore is performed in the present work. A bathymetry data taken from GEBCO (General Bathymetric Chart of the Ocean) with spasial resolution 30” x 30”, coastline from GSHHG (Global Self-consistent, Hierarchical, High-Resolution Geography Database), windrose from BMKG (Badan Meteorologi Klimatologi dan Geofisika), and current velocity from TMD (Tide Model Driver). This study use the models SWAN with stationary mode and triangular unstructured grid which generated by MESH2D. The highest wave height (Hmax) at the Merak Port nearshore is 2.98 m during west monsoon and 1.90 m for east monsoon. Simulation of wind-wave with current will decrease (increase) the Hmax up to 9.26% (9.07%) compared with simulation with absence of current.
