Summary:Development of the airside facilities on Supadio Airport, Pontianak is needed as the solution of increasing air traffic and limited existing capacity of the airport. Evaluation of the development plans is necessary to review conformity between the development plans and design standard from FAA or ICAO. The evaluation starts by data compilation process that will be used on design, including passenger and aircraft movements, design aircrafts' characteristic, soil parameter, topography, and rainfall. According to data that have been compiled, design is being done to geometric, pavement, and drainage component of the airside of airport. The result of geometric design using Boeing 737-400 as critical aircraft is including runway dimension of 3000 m x 45 m, parallel taxiway dimension of 3000 m x 16 m, 2 perpendicular taxiways, 4 rapid-exit taxiways, and apron with area of 16.700 m2 for 9 aircraft at peak hour movements on linear forecasting scenario. Design of pavement is assisted by software named FAARFIELD and resulting 25.39 in as flexible pavement thickness, which consists of 5.00 in surface course, 6.44 in base course, and 13.45 in sub-base course. On rigid pavement thickness design the result is 25.74 in, which consists of 13.74 in surface course, 6.00 in base course, and 6.00 in sub-base course. The result of drainage design is combined drainage systems of open channel drainage with trapezoidal section that has dimension of 2.25 m x 1.50 m and 1.50 m x 1.00 m, subversive channel with rectangular section box culvert that has dimension of 2.50 m x 2.20 m and 2.00 m x 1.25 m, and also a ponding channel. General evaluation gives the different result between the development plans and design that has been done. Factors that influence the result including passenger and aircraft forecasting, development scenario, and selection of design aircrafts on geometric design, design standards, modulation, and scenario of route length consideration on pavement design, and drainage system on drainage design. The development plans should consider more carefully at factors that have been shown above because they have great effects on design results of the development on Supadio Airport, Pontianak.
