One alternative in increasing the value of waste is the cultivation of BSF (Black Soldier Fly) because it is able to reduce around 66.4-78.9% and produces leachate that has the potential as a nutrient solution. Characteristics of a waste affect the quantity and quality of leachate. The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of waste type on WRI (Waste Reduction Index), larval biomass (wet weight, dry weight, and moisture content), leachate production, and nutrient content in leachate. The research used 4 treatments, namely waste watermelon, oranges, melons and papayas, with 6 replications for each treatment. A total of 5 kg of fruit waste was put into a round tray (37 cm in diameter) and the leachate was collected in a tray (47 x 33 x 14) cm below it. The leachate bioreactor was placed in a screen house (3 x 2 x 2.25) m with an ultraviolet plastic roof. Statistical analysis used one way ANOVA test, and Duncan's follow-up test (?= 5%). The results of statistical tests showed that there was an effect of the type of waste on WRI, wet weight, dry weight, water content, and leachate production. Watermelon waste is the easiest to reduce with a WRI value of 5.89%/day and produces the most leachate with an average of 2,913.30 ml per bioreactor.
