Description
Summary:Sunspots observation can reveal insight regarding solar activity. Generally, sunspots appear as sunspots groups consist of several single spots combined in the same magnetic field area. Activity in the subsurface layers of the sun can be investigated through proper motion and changes in sunspots area. The regularity of the appearance of sunspots in an 11-year cycle also provides in each period of cycle. This research is aimed at determining the proper motion, area, distribution of single sunspots in the northern and southern hemisphere of the sun, the differential rotation speed of the sun in the minimum phase of Solar cycle 24, and the position and area of sunspots at the beginning of the Solar cycle 25. Sunspots data was taken from Solar Dynamic Observatory (SDO) satellite imagery, namely HMI Intensitygram and AIA 1700 Å in 2018-2020 via Jhelioviewer software. The proper motion of individual sunspots and differential rotation of the sun were caried out by using linear regression analysis. Initial data for Solar Cycle 25 will refer to reference article and magnetogram data. The result of this research are histogram of velocity of the longitude and latitude individual sunspots show more spots moving toward the west (in the longitude) and the equator (in the latitude). The size of an individual sunspots in this cycle mostly in 1 to 50 million km2. Analysis of the relationship between proper motion and sunspots area is not sufficient to support existing theories. The distribution of sunspots shows the fewest sunspots appear in 2019. The differential rotation speed of the sun follows the equation ????(????)=(0.03344±0.0099)+(?0.00103±0.00056)????????????2(????) °/?????????????. Sunspots data at the beginning of the Solar Cycle 25 shows a position at hight latitude, -29.08° in southern hemisphere and 27.37° in northern hemisphere.
