Description
Summary:Trace ammonia nitrogen analysis in water has been needed for water quality monitoring. Ammonia nitrogen content in water is very influential in trade sector of fishery cultivation, especially for highly economic valueable fish. The use of Berthelot reaction as the basis of proposed ammonia nitrogen analysis based on flow injection analysis method in this research has been investigated. An analytical method for preconcentration based on flow injection analysis that has been proposed showed good analytical performance, that indicated by precision value (%CV) 4,60 at 1 mg L-1 concentration, and 4,98 at 100 μg L-1 concentration, dynamic range of measurement 10 with correlation value 0,9925 and limit of detection 1,48 μg L-1. By using this method occured signal increasing as much 50 times compared with direct spectrophotometric method. The developed method is successfully used for determining ammonia nitrogen content in environmental water samples.
