However, the use of VR often leads to physical inconveniences for some users which is commonly referred to as VR sickness. VR sickness is characterized by the presence of several symptoms which are divided into three aspects, namely nausea, oculomotor and disorientation. Another aspect related to the use of VR is mental workload, which generally increases when VR is used. This study aims to determine the correlation between VR sickness and mental workload and provide recommendations to reduce the presence of VR sickness and mental workload arising from the use of Head Mounted Display VR. This research was conducted through an experiment, with 30 participants using the Virtual Reality Sickness Questionnaire (VRSQ) and Simulation Task Load Index (SIM-TLX) instruments to measure VR sickness and mental workload of the participants. Data processing was carried out using repeated measure ANOVA. The results showed that the VR sickness and mental workload of the participants increased along with the increase in the difficulty level of the given task. In addition, there is a significant correlation between VR sickness and mental workload. text
