Description
Summary:Abstract The Biogeography-Based Optimization (BBO) optimization method is an optimization method inspired by the concept of biogeography which is used to solve optimization problems. Apart from solving optimization problems, BBO can also be used to find initial values which are then used by the Broyden method to find the roots of a system of non-linear equations even though in one program execution it can only get one root. So that in one execution of the BBO program modified with the Broyden method, all possible roots of a system of non-linear equations can be obtained, this thesis has developed a combination of BBO with the Broyden method and clustering techniques. This combination makes it possible to obtain all the roots of a system of nonlinear equations in one program execution. Furthermore, to map the extreme points of multimodal functions in one program execution, BBO can also be combined with clustering techniques. Based on the research results, combining BBO with the Broyden method and clustering techniques makes it possible to obtain the roots of non-linear equation systems, and combining BBO with clustering techniques makes it possible to obtain the extreme points of multimodal functions.
