Public open space is built-up land that can offer social, environmental, and economic benefits for the community. City parks are a form of public open space in the form of open land. City parks, which are a means for carrying out recreational and educational activities, have social and aesthetic functions. Kuningan City Park is located in Kuningan Regency, precisely on Jalan Veteran, Kuningan District. Kuningan City Park began to be renovated in 2020 and was inaugurated on Sunday 30 January 2022. With the efforts that have been made regarding the renovation of this city park, it is hoped that the new face of city park will be enjoyable and satisfying in the eyes of the community. This research was conducted to evaluate so that we can find out how the Kuningan city park performs from the results of the redesign using the placemaking concept. To carry out this evaluation, a literature review was done regarding public open space planning and the concept of placemaking. Next, an analysis of public perceptions regarding Kuningan City Park was carried out. The assessment is done using the checklist method to fulfill the evaluation indikators, with the condition that an indicator is fulfilled when more than 50% of respondents answered agreeing to the indicator. Based on the literature review, four variable were obtained with a total of 11 indikators used for evaluation in this research, which are accessibility, comfort, the ability of city parks to bind the community, and activities. The fulfillment percentage of the Kuningan City Park evaluation indicators is 72.7%, so the performance of the city park is categorized as quite good.
