This device is prospective due to the increasing tendency of youth to use advanced technology and also supported by the demographic bonus in Indonesia, which is dominated by the millennial generation and generation Z. These two generations were chosen as the target users because they have a desire to explore technology and like a unique experience when using technology products. Based on the literature study and in-depth interviews that have been conducted, there is an initial assumption that the smart speaker product has not achieved the user's needs in Indonesia for the reason that the smart speaker product design (which comes from outside Indonesia) is designed for the purpose of smart home integration, while Indonesian users start using smart speakers as personal assistants. Thus, the research objective is to produce a proposed smart speaker product design that is able to increase the penetration of smart speaker products so that they are inclusively used according to the needs of users in Indonesia. The research was conducted using the design thinking method with six stages, namely empathize, define, ideate, prototype, test, and reflect. Empathize is done by conducting in-depth interviews with four users and netnography. Next, a persona, empathy map, and affinity diagram are generated. Define stage is carried out to synthesize product design requirements. Ideate stage is done by generating ten product design concepts and a selected design concept is chosen. Prototype is done by making three-dimensional images and printed using 3D printing. The test is qualitative and quantitative. Qualitatively, NABC pitch and feedback capture grid are conducted. Quantitatively, The Net Promoters Score (NPS) is used to assess the level of product-market fit to reach the minimum threshold for the product to be considered a minimum viable product. The last stage is reflection to evaluate the progress of the research. The proposed smart speaker concept design is in the form of a solid physical form that faces the user so that it is more sensitive in receiving and emitting the user's voice, a flexible power supply cable, sensitive and minimalist buttons, and an informative feedback system. NPS for the proposed design product is about 10.48% in product-market fit, which value has met the minimum criteria for a minimum viable product. text
