The number of buses is always increasing every year. Increasing amount of buses leads to increasing frequency of accidents. Therefore, safety is a very important aspect in designing a bus. Front collision accidents are the most common types of accidents. At the moment of impact, passengers will be pushed to the front. The bus seat will be a secondary safety structure for passengers behind the seat. Therefore, a bus must be ensured safe through several tests based on certain regulations. One of the appropriate regulations in testing the structure of bus seats during front impact is UNECE R80. Therefore, it is necessary to test the seat structure using a set of tools that can comply with UNECE R80. In the early stages of research, the design is made by making Design Requirements and Objectives (DR&O). the design is based on UNECE R80 regulations. The design is limited to double seat type seats and statistical tests. In addition, the test equipment is designed to be easy to move and operate and can be used for a variety of specimen tests. In the design process, several revisions were made. Once designed, the test kit is made. The manufacture of test equipment is carried out based on the design and DR&O. During the manufacturing process, several revisions were made. In the final stage of the research, the test equipment that has been made is tested to ensure the test equipment works well and in accordance with the design. From the test results. The key word that the test equipment works well according to the DR&O with various notes is that when the load is large and the position of the linear potentiometer is not parallel to the push rod it will lift. The test equipment can provide a load on the test specimen and can measure the deflection that occurs. text
