Summary: | The industrial sector holds as the main importance for the Indonesian Government, serving as the primary foundation of economic growth, especially in the aftermath of the Covid-19 pandemic. The manufacturing industrial sector plays a pivotal role in the national recovery efforts. One crucial element supporting the manufacturing industry is machine tools.
Machine tools are instrumental in cutting materials to produce objects with the desired shapes. To aid the Indonesian manufacturing industry sector, this research will analyze the manufacturing process of the carriage component of the NARA 4308 lathe machine. The carriage, responsible for carrying the tool holder, must maintain the trajectory of the contact point between the tool and the workpiece in parallel. It is hoped that through this machine, housed in the PPTI ITB Laboratory, Indonesia can study and produce all components of the NARA 4308 lathe, assembling them in accordance with established standards. The primary objective is for Indonesia to design and manufacture its own machine tools, with most of the components and raw materials sourced domestically.
This research aims to provide a comprehensive analysis of the manufacturing and assembly processes of the NARA 4308 Lathe Machine, adhering to precision and accuracy standards. The results of this research constitute scientific work based on the analysis outcomes.
