Description
Summary:Habitat fragmentation due to post-tin mining damage is part of the unwanted dominance of ecosystem destruction in Bangka Belitung. Uncertainty regarding illegal post-mining land restoration obligations is a big 'homework' not only for the government, but all levels of Bangka Belitung society. The speed of land reclamation is still less than mining. The design idea refers to the reflection of the reclamation process and the hope for the return of biodiversity in the ecosystem, with regreening as an indicator of achievement through architectural intervention. The location chosen for the thesis case study was the Pelawan post-mining area in Namang Village, Central Bangka. The argument for the location of the land is considered to have a point of criticism, namely that it is the former Pelawan Forest ecosystem. The Pelawan tree is an indication of the high tin content in the soil, so the urgency of repeated damage to the site is also quite high. This design is based on experimental ideas in the form of integrated architectural interventions as a medium for post-mining ecosystem restoration. The general design criteria in the thesis depart from the general core of the problem as a priority for post-tin mining land restoration in Bangka, namely environmental and social aspects. Economics and culture (Pelawan context) are tentative supporting aspects for adjusting site potential specifically, playing a role in researching design criteria as design parameters to create unity.
