Summary: | Coal-based fertilizer shapes productivity in agrotechnology industries by providing carbon content to add up the variety of nutrients in the field. Most modern fertilizers focus on NPK (micronutrients) mixtures as the plant's main nutrition, whereas it makes NPK dominate other nutrients and leave the soil unbalanced. Unfortunately, because this fertilizer product is a new innovation, it is quite challenging to find relevant documentation, especially on the production process. Therefore, this study's purpose is to fulfill the necessary documentation to design one of the processes within coal-based fertilizer production.
The production process is defined into two main sections: material preparation and drying. At this moment, preparation includes three machineries: mixer, granulator, and grinder. The goal of designing the mixer muller is to enhance efficiency in the preparation process by eliminating all these machineries and using only one machine instead, thus reducing production costs.
The mixer muller contains five main components: roll crusher, spring, main shaft, motor, transmission, and pan. To achieve the preparation process, it needs a 150mm width to 562mm diameter of the roll crusher; a 56mm diameter of the main shaft; 18 active coils with a 229.4mm length spring; a 20hp motor with V-belt type C; and a 1610mm diameter with a 776mm tube pan height. |
