Description
Summary:PT. XYZ is one of the major players in Indonesia Upstream O&G Industry that have a big role in ensuring the Energy Demand of Indonesia. Whenever we talking about oil and gas industry, we cannot avoid to talk about drilling. Since number of productions closely related to the number of drilled well delivery. Looking at PT XYZ work program on 2021 that not achieved, company got losses of potential revenue around 7,7 Million Dollars. This number is not trivial; hence it is important to understand what caused these undelivered wells, define most optimum alternative solution, and create a robust implementation plan to tackle this issue. To complete this research, the analysis method starts with performing Critical Path Method (CPM) to understand the sequence of Drilling activities and looking for the “Critical Path” along the process. Then, from there Pareto Analysis were performed to know which factor actually contribute most to the cause of delay as major contributors. After that, interview as qualitative data support was done across several roles to know more about those factors. Later on, Current Reality Tree (CRT) help to identify the root cause from the UDE’s (undesirable effect) which become the option for alternative solution to the problems. From the analysis, there are 3 (three) options to tackle the issue which are: Optimization on Permit Process Duration, Final Investment Decision Process, and Subsurface Maturation Process. Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) will be used on this research to perform analysis in finding the best solution among provided alternatives option. Referring to the interview session, this research defines 3 criteria that need to be reviewed and consider, which are: Implementation Time, Complexity, and Cost. From research, it is concluded that Permit Process Optimization become the best alternatives solution than the other two. Implementation plan was arranged and done in 2022, with quite satisfactory result. The chosen alternative help to reduce well undelivered rate from 30% down to 11% in 2022. Even though there are still several things to be improved along the business process, but this step proved to give an enormous impact for the future of the company.
