Summary: | There is a waste collector company that has deployed a special waste
bank for plastic bottle waste in the form of a Mini Collection Point (MCP) that
provides rewards in the form of points on the application that can be exchanged for
electronic money or shopping vouchers. Based on the potential analysis, it is known
that South Jakarta has a plastic bottle waste generation of 94.18 tons/year and only
21.62% of plastic bottle waste is recycled. The MCP program should be expected
to increase the amount of recycling number, so the government targets of 30%
recycling rate in 2032 can be achieved. But in reality, it is still not optimal. From
the results of questionnaire, it is known that the unstrategic location of MCP and
lack of socialization are the main problems of MCP’s management. Based on the
questionnaire data, it is known that the location and also collection system are the
factors that most affect people's interest in sorting in the existing system with the
Pearson’s correlation factors of 0.655 and 0,.652 which shows strong correlation.
From the interviews with the managements, it was also found that behavioral
problems and conflicts of interest were one of a problem that needs attention. Based
on management examples obtained from within and outside the country, a
management system development scenario was formed based on a combination of
the waste collection system and incentive source of Ojeke Inyong (JekNyong)
management system from Banyumas and also the waste treatment and govermental
role of Deposit Return System (DRS) management system from the European Union
to overcome existing management problems and increasing the recycling rate up to atound 8,5% in 2032.. |
