Summary: | As the development of sophisticated technologies keeps growing along with the alarming condition of the environmental crisis, industry and business actors shall prepare for the better to run its business in the challenging environment. Technology alone has growing more rapidly due to the impact of the fourth industrial revolution which brings new solutions for businesses. In the management context, it is required for employees to possesses certain knowledge, skill and attitude to allow them adapt with the condition. Following the era of industry 4.0, researchers began to build new concept of human capital to industry 4.0 human capital competency. Aside this phenomenon, environmental issue also needs to be governed by organization. As a result of response to this case, the aspect of human resources began to develop with specific objective to pursue environmental-related goals in individual level namely employee green behavior. Unfortunately, business environment nowadays is highly competitive, thus, the role of individual innovativeness becomes priorly critical for business growth. This study aims to filled the research gap about the significant relationship of industry 4.0 human capital competency and employee green behavior towards individual innovativeness. Furthermore, the analysis continues to discover the readiness gap of industry 4.0 human capital competency in the organization. The research itself will be conducted in an Indonesian telecommunication company through distributing online survey questionnaire with a cross-sectional study approach. The final outcome resulted that industry 4.0 human capital competency and employee green behavior have positive and significant relationship towards individual innovativeness. While as for the readiness gap, the company is currently having its soft skill and attitude in a better index. Finally, the study recommends the company several notes to maintain its innovative performance through enhancing up-to-date skills for industry 4.0 human capital competency and stimulate the innovative environmental initiatives. Meanwhile, for the readiness gap, the study recommends for the company to allow knowledge sharing and take training and development activities. |
