A series of policies, procedures and practices implemented to deal with, respond to and restore communities and infrastructure from natural disasters are presented in the government's role in the post-natural disaster development process in the city of Palu. In recent years, Palu City has experienced several natural disasters because it is in an area frequently hit by earthquakes and tsunamis. Therefore, effective management in the housing reconstruction process is essential to minimize its vulnerability to future disaster risks. The role of government in the development process after natural disasters in the city of Palu presents an important focus on evaluating the relationship between the role of government and the impacts that occur due to natural disasters that hit this city. The significant impact can be seen to permeate various aspects of people's lives. Through the research carried out, the government's role in the post-natural disaster development process in the city of Palu is explained as a series of policies, procedures and practices implemented to face, respond and restore post-disaster communities and infrastructure. The success of the post-natural disaster development process is greatly influenced by high-level support from the central and regional governments, as well as community preparedness in facing disasters. Good coordination between the government and aid organizations is also a key factor in the recovery process. Meanwhile, the active role of the community has an important role because they have a better understanding of the needs and challenges faced, provide valuable input in the decision-making process, and can increase participation in recovery efforts. This study emphasizes the role of government in the development process after natural disasters in the city of Palu. In this research, two things were studied: (1) Knowing the role of the government in post-natural disaster development in the city of Palu. (2) How is society's perception affected by the government's role in post-disaster development. This study was conducted using descriptive qualitative methods. Interviews, observations, and field documentation are all methods used to collect data. The research results show that collaboration between government, non-government organizations and society produces good results. Training and government assistance help communities recover better after disasters. Communities in Lere and Balaroa Subdistricts, Palu City, have benefited from effective post-disaster governance. This impact shows how important training and assistance provided by the government is to improve post-disaster governance and the quality of life of the community. Housing reconstruction after natural disasters in Palu City is very difficult and requires good management. The reconstruction process can be more organized and structured using the governance framework created by this research. Participating in various aspects is important for success. Program planning, implementation and monitoring are carried out by the Ministry of PUPR, BNPB and BAPPEDA. The goal is to ensure a sustainable recovery in the long term. This research governance study can be adapted and applied to other post-natural disaster reconstruction situations. In this case, local conditions can be adjusted. Therefore, this research provides practical guidelines for improving housing reconstruction management after natural disasters and assisting the recovery of the people of Palu City who were affected by the disaster. text |
