We propose a handheld device equipped with a camera for plywood counting. The image processing subsystem is selected using a line segment detection algorithm, which shows very high efficiency and adaptability. Python was chosen for programming, and 12 algorithms were tested, with ELSED emerging as the most effective. The results showed an average accuracy of 90.3% and an impressive speed of 9 seconds, exceeding the maximum requirement of 5 minutes. The tool is also capable of running on 8 different plywood thicknesses. Further algorithm development is needed so that the algorithm is more adaptive. Design implementation process that shows potential for future developments in sheet-like stack computing. text
