However, the most significant risk is the movement of the Lembang fault, predicted to trigger an earthquake with a magnitude of 6.8 in Bandung, causing an estimated total loss of Rp 138.3 trillion. The Bandung City Government has mapped evacuation spaces through the Sitaruna site and local regulations (RTRW) for the period 2022-2042. Nevertheless, there have been no further efforts to prepare these spaces for meeting the basic needs of victims. This deficiency stems from a heavy reliance on meeting the basic needs of victims through external assistance. Self-sufficiency in meeting basic needs is crucial, especially considering distribution challenges that may force victims to address their basic needs in the early days post-disaster. Therefore, this research aims to develop public furniture products in designated evacuation spaces, with a primary focus on meeting the basic needs of victims directly accessible to them. Through the design of these products, it is hoped that the reliance on external assistance for basic needs can be minimized, thereby enhancing community resilience in meeting basic needs during the emergency response phase. text
