Summary: | The shift in lifestyle preferences of the younger generation, who increasingly
value fitness and social interaction, has created a demand for outdoor fitness
facilities in public areas, such as city parks. Calisthenics has emerged as a
popular and effective exercise choice in such facilities. However, most potential
users are beginners who face challenges in accessing and utilizing the facilities
according to their initial fitness level. This study aims to address these challenges
and provide solutions for developing outdoor calisthenics facilities that are
accessible, inclusive, and supportive for beginners. The study introduces the
concept of progressive calisthenics, emphasizing a gradual increase in difficulty
and challenge, applied to the design and use of the equipment. By promoting
inclusiveness and social interaction, the aim is to create a facility that caters to
various segments of society, fostering an active and interactive community.
Utilizing literature review, observation, interviews, and data analysis, the study
seeks to design an optimal outdoor calisthenics fitness facility that not only meets
the needs of beginners but also supports their growth and long-term participation
while concurrently promoting social interaction.
