The abundance of uncertainty throughout the pandemic has triggered anxiety and fear. This study aimsto analyze internet search trends related to anxiety and its treatment in Indonesian society. This research was conducted using secondary data taken via Google Trends in the form of Relative Search Volume (RSV). The search topics used in Google Trends were anxiety, alprazolam, and fluoxetine (according to standard anxiety management). RSV for eachsearchtopic is takenevery six months from January 2019 to April 2023. RSV data for each 6-month period will be compared using the Kruskal- Wallis and Post-Hoc tests. The research results showed that in general the search trend for anxiety topics fluctuates, while for alprazolam and fluoxetine search topics the trend tends to be stable. RSV for the topic alprazolam and fluoxetine was less than the RSV for the topic anxiety. The Kruskal-Wallis’stest results showed a P-Value <0.0001 on the search topics Anxiety, Alprazolam, and Fluoxetine. Thisshowed that there was at least an RSV value in one period that is significantly different from the RSV valueforanotherperiod. Whencompared withtheJanuary - June2019 period which is considered thebaseline (COVID-19 has not yet been recognized) using the post-Hoc test, there were several periodsthat were significantly different, especially periods with important events related to COVID-19. The RSVpeak for the search topic Anxiety, and the largest mean of RSV for Alprazolam, and Fluoxetine was in period7wheneverythingreturnedtonormal.It couldbeconcluded that search trends related to anxietyfluctuated during the COVID-19 pandemic period, but there was some increase in searches at times close to important events related to COVID-19. text
