INSTITUT TEKNOLOGI BANDUNG https://digilib.itb.ac.id/gdl/view/79910 This study meticulously charts a phased roadmap for Bank BTPN, strategically navigating the burgeoning ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) business landscape. The primary objective is to propel the bank into a recognized leadership position in sustainability. The success of monetizing ESG initiatives pivots on fostering trust and loyalty from customers. Beyond addressing customer needs, the bank aspires to emerge as the preferred solution for a broader array of stakeholders, extending its influence to crucial entities such as government bodies and regulators. This expansive vision is deemed indispensable for the holistic triumph of the bank. Our research highlights the imperative for substantial metamorphosis within the bank, spanning various domains encompassing alterations to its business practices, financial management, employee engagement, organizational structure, and operational oversight. These transformative changes are not mere aspirations but are deemed necessary to fortify the bank's foundational infrastructure, laying the groundwork to support the envisioned future operations, marketing, and branding strategies. This study meticulously charts a phased roadmap for Bank BTPN, strategically navigating the burgeoning ESG
(Environmental, Social, and Governance) business landscape. The primary objective is to propel the bank into a
recognized leadership position in sustainability. The success of monetizing ESG initiatives pivots on fostering
trust and loyalty from customers. Beyond addressing customer needs, the bank aspires to emerge as the preferred
solution for a broader array of stakeholders, extending its influence to crucial entities such as government bodies
and regulators. This expansive vision is deemed indispensable for the holistic triumph of the bank.
Our research highlights the imperative for substantial metamorphosis within the bank, spanning various domains
encompassing alterations to its business practices, financial management, employee engagement, organizational
structure, and operational oversight. These transformative changes are not mere aspirations but are deemed
necessary to fortify the bank's foundational infrastructure, laying the groundwork to support the envisioned
future operations, marketing, and branding strategies.
A pivotal point of ensuring the success of these transformative changes is the steadfast commitment expected
from shareholders and leaders. Their commitment extends beyond passive agreement with the outlined plan; it
necessitates active guidance and the establishment of clear success metrics. This commitment serves as a
linchpin, ensuring the effectiveness and success of the proposed ESG strategies. A collective commitment from
all stakeholders propels the bank in the right direction, aligning efforts towards the achievement of its
overarching goals.
This paper operates as an exhaustive blueprint for Bank BTPN's foray into the dynamic realm of ESG business.
It is meticulously designed to serve as a guiding document for both current and future leaders of the bank. The
ideas and recommendations presented within this paper articulate a strategic plan for the seamless integration of
ESG principles. This transcends mere practical changes in operations and finances; it extends to encompass the
less tangible yet pivotal aspects of leadership commitment and shared vision. As the bank embarks on this
transformative journey, this master plan aims to navigate Bank BTPN to not only compliance but to a position
of leadership in sustainable banking practices. |
