However, the current process of prioritization and resource allocation for data services and interim solutions delivery is not optimal and inefficient. The main research question is how to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of data services and interim solutions delivery by optimizing prioritization and resource allocation. The research also aims to propose a new priority framework and a new resource allocation plan, as well as an implementation plan and justification for the proposed solutions. The research uses a mixed-methods approach to collect and analyze data from various sources, such as surveys, focus group discussions, documents, reports, etc. The research also applies two methods to optimize prioritization and resource allocation: The Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Best-Fitted Resource (BFR). AHP is a technique that helps to rank or order alternatives based on multiple criteria or attributes, while BFR is a methodology that helps to assign resources to tasks when optimum skill sets are not available, by considering the existing capabilities of candidates, the required levels of expertise, and the priorities of required skills for the task. The research findings show that the proposed solutions can enhance operational efficiency, improve task prioritization, and optimize resource allocation within the PSDM team, which is the unit responsible for data services and interim solutions delivery in the operations directorate of Bank GAWA. The research also provides a detailed comparison of the current and proposed priority frameworks and resource allocation plans, as well as the expected benefits and challenges of implementing the proposed solutions. The research contributes to the literature on data services and interim solutions delivery, as well as to the practice of performance management and decision support in banking. The research also provides practical recommendations and insights for Bank GAWA and other similar organizations to improve their data services and interim solutions delivery processes. text |
