Description
Summary:Information technology has transformed the way humans communicate, work, and socialize, leading to an influx of newcomers entering the industry with various unique innovations. The object of this research is a company operating in the information technology and internet industry, based in Jakarta and Bandung, which is currently striving to develop an integrated performance monitoring system. To address the issues of integration and transparency in performance monitoring information for branches in Jakarta and Bandung quickly, in real-time, and accurately, it is necessary to build an information system. This research aims to design a performance monitoring system and a performance monitoring information system for the company using the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) method. The process of designing the performance management system is built upon (1) Identifying the company's vision and mission, (2) Identifying internal and external factors of the company, (3) Formulating company strategies, (4) Determining KPIs and targets, (5) Weighting the KPIs, and (6) Formulating work evaluation form. The information system is built using the Framework for The Application System Thinking (FAST) method, which includes (1) Defining the scope, (2) Analyzing the problem, (3) Analyzing the needs, (4) Modeling the processes, (5) Modeling the data, (6) Verifying the design, (7) Designing the UI, and (8) Validating the system design. The process of designing the performance management system will be conducted through a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) with one of the BoDs and managers of the company. The result of this research is the creation of strategic objectives for the company based on the financial perspective, customer perspective, internal business processes, and learning and development. The performance monitoring system is manifested in the form of forms that serve as the basis for assessment in the information system. Lastly, the design of the performance monitoring information system is realized through process modeling, data modeling, and a user interface prototype.
