Summary:PT Presa Genta Engineering is a company that is active in the field of manufacturing. At present, PT Pressa Genta Engineering is working on orders to perform machining of water meter coupling products belonging to PT Multi Instrumentation for 20,000 pieces per month. The company has designed fixtures to help the machining process. However, the fixtures that are currently used are not considered effective, as design does not use theory and relies only on subjectivity without comparison. Therefore, this research aims to design fixtures for improving the machining process of water meter coupling products. The research uses the analytical approach of the clamping method in the process of designing fixtures. Then use AHP to choose the best alternative. AHP was used as the weight determiner of the criteria. The criteria were set by three sources who helped the research through discussions with the researchers. There are two alternatives to design fixtures. Design alternative 1 developed by the company and design alternative 2 offered by the researchers. There are five criteria that affect the choice of alternative fixtures: the validity of the clamping system, FEA analysis, setup time, investment validity, and physical testing. The weighing of the criteria was done by the three sources and used to test both alternatives. The results of this research show that design alternative 2 outweighs design alternative 1 with a total value of 0.768 versus 0.232sss.
