Developing building technology has also given rise to alternatives in building forms. Trusses or roof trusses are one of the elements that influence the shape of the building. Trusses or roof trusses are also widely known as roof structures for residential buildings or public buildings in Indonesia. The materials used as trusses or roof trusses are steel or wood. Queenpost frames are widely used in wood and bamboo frame construction. The tjoin connection is more commonly used on wooden queenpost trusses, but the tjoin connection is also used on bamboo queenpost trusses. However, the connection requires eyenuts which are relatively expensive. Therefore, it is best to design a bamboo queenpost truss whose clamping system uses as many bolt-nut connections as possible. This type of experimental research involves making a 1:1 scale model and then testing it with simple loading to see structural failure patterns and system repairs (connections and rod configurations). The fixed variables in this research are bamboo rope, bamboo rope 6 m long, thread (m10), nut (m10), ring (m10), eyenut (m10), and wire (2.85mm). The independent variables of this research are deformation (mm), load (kg), number of anchors, number of nuts, number of rings, number of bamboo rods, number of truss forming rods, and type of buckling. Fink truss is an alternative form of bamboo roof truss which is recommended for simple buildings because the fink truss roof truss is able to withstand large loads and has good flexibility. There is great hope that this research can be useful and influence the transfer of conventional connection approaches to substitute connections in public buildings. Researchers also hope to create a renewal of the environment and buildings in Indonesia. text
