Summary: | Attention Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is the most common
behavioral disorder in children, characterized by symptoms of inattention,
hyperactivity, impulsivity, and low concentration levels. Concentration is crucial
in various activities, and having focused attention in activities and learning can
lead to better outcomes. Currently, several specific methods to assist children with
ADHD in learning activities have been developed, and appropriate classroom
design can contribute to supporting these goals. Various studies and research
related to color psychology have shown a relationship between color and
individuals, based on which blue is considered a color that can enhance
concentration, while soft and neutral color schemes are recommended for children
with ADHD. Muted colors refer to colors with low contrast and saturation levels.
This research aims to investigate the influence of applying muted blue color on the
walls of a room on the attention-focusing ability of children with ADHD. The study
involved an experiment with 10 subjects, aged 4-6 years, engaging in the 'Follow
the Ball' game in both the experimental and control rooms. The game scores were
then statistically analyzed using the SPSS program. Although there was a difference
in scores between the two rooms, the magnitude of this difference was not
significant enough to conclude a significant impact on concentration through
statistical comparison. Additionally, it was observed that all subjects who had
undergone therapy for more than 1 year performed well in answering questions in
both rooms, whereas those who had not received therapy were unable to answer or
follow game instructions effectively |
