Description
Summary:Business service opportunities are on the rise according to data from the Dinas Koperasi dan Usaha Kecil Jawa Barat. One of the services currently in demand is the organization of formal events, involving administrative, creative, and collaborative aspects. In this context, event organization services, commonly known as event organizers (EO), have emerged. EOs are tasked with planning, organizing, and managing the resources needed for events, bridging the gap between the client's event vision and the reality of its execution. The Wedding Executor (TWEX) is a wedding service company in Bandung providing wedding planning, organizing, and package services. TWEX is the focus of this research due to a noticeable issue—four consecutive years of declining sales. Therefore, the researcher identified the root cause using the Mix 8P approach. After identification, it was determined that the sales decline was due to the lack of clear task assignments and responsibilities within the TWEX organization. This led to negative impacts where essential strategic activities such as innovation, promotion, and other strategic developments lacked the necessary focus. The proposed solution involves mapping the business processes and creating a responsibility assignment matrix to achieve clear task distribution and responsibilities. The researcher will conduct benchmarking using the Process Classification Framework (PCF) developed by the American Productivity & Quality Center (APQC) to map business processes. Furthermore, responsibility mapping will be conducted using the RASCI method. Improved company performance is expected as a result of clear task distribution, enabling accountability for processes and achievements. The mapping of business processes can also serve as a foundation for the company in recruitment processes or organizational restructuring.
