Several previous studies have attempted to address the impact of fast fashion culture, and one of the solutions that has emerged is the concept of capsule wardrobe. Capsule wardrobe is a set of essential items from a wardrobe that can be swapped out and can be combined to create an endless cycle of clothing. This study responds to the phenomenon of fast fashion and disposable culture by exploring the application of the capsule wardrobe concept in the fashion style of Indonesian women, as a comparison to previous studies that focused on countries with four seasons. This study uses qualitative methods with a grounded theory approach and experiments that produce data to support a better understanding of the application of the capsule wardrobe concept in the fashion style of young adult women in Bandung, Indonesia. This study involved 5 participants for 2 weeks with the aim of gaining a deeper understanding of how the capsule wardrobe concept is applied and its impact on the fashion style of young adult women in Bandung, Indonesia. Data collection was carried out through in-depth interviews and practical experiments. The main findings of this study are the impact of using capsule wardrobe on the fashion style of young adult women in Bandung, Indonesia, namely time savings, more efficient spending, increased creativity in dressing, and more mature consideration in the selection of everyday clothes. In the implementation of the capsule wardrobe in Bandung, Indonesia, the participants use layering techniques, combinations and the use of statement to deal with appearances with limited amounts of clothes. In addition, references about the fashion style of Bandung women are categorized by the selection of colors, silhouettes, shapes, and materials. text |
