Summary: | Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) is an information system technology
implemented by contractor companies to support their expanding business
processes, not just focusing on construction services. Previous research states that
ERP implementation can have a positive impact on the performance of contractor
companies. However, the impact of ERP implementation on Indonesian contractor
companies with different characteristics is still unknown. Thus, a study was carried
out to determine the differences in impact, success of the implementation process,
factors influencing ERP implementation, as well as the influence of information
technology assets on four contractor companies in Indonesia. Based on the
research results, ERP implementation has a greater impact on the financial
performance of BUMS that carry out IT asset customization and efficiency,
compared to BUMN that implement it with the help of vendors and use systems from
developers. On the other hand, BUMN employees experience greater success in the
implementation process than BUMS because the ERP system used is a ready-to-use
system and easier to learn. The support and commitment of company leaders is the
most influential factor in achieving successful implementation. On the other hand,
BUMS and strategic level employees have a broader view in percepting the
influencing factors.
