Description
Summary:This research explores the use of makrame techniques in lingerie as a form of representation of self-expression in women. The research and development (R&D) method is used to design, develop, and evaluate products in the form of lingerie with macrame techniques. The design process (D&D) approach became the main foundation in designing products that meet user needs and are effective in achieving their goals. A literature review was conducted to find inspiration and references regarding fashion making techniques with macrame techniques and their impact on self-expression of women's femininity. The results of the questionnaire analysis showed that the majority of respondents showed interest in the use of macrame techniques in lingerie as part of their self-expression. The majority also considered design innovation and clean and minimalist elements as the main preferences in lingerie. The use of macrame and lace techniques is considered important in expressing femininity in fashion, while soft colors are mostly chosen as a representation of femininity in macrame lingerie. From the results of this study, it can be concluded that the use of makrame techniques in lingerie significantly affects women's self-expression and fulfills the design preferences desired by the majority of respondents.
