description In the sphere of business and industry, human capital holds paramount importance due to its role as a critical determinant of an organization's economic success. The recruitment of competent human resources plays an indispensable role in the orchestration of economic activities, contributing significantly to the attainment and maintenance of organizational objectives. It is undeniably a decisive factor behind a company's triumphant operations, economic accomplishments, and goal- realization process. Nevertheless, despite the highlighted significance, there exists a widespread crisis in human productivity. This predicament is particularly noticeable in regions such as West Java, Indonesia. Characterized by a significant labour force, the region nevertheless faces challenges tied to the quality and the distribution of its labour resources. A critical concern in this context is the quality of the job seekers, which is frequently perceived to be low. The dilemma is that while the labour force is extensive, the skills and competencies of the candidates often do not align with the market needs and expectations. This lack of correspondence between the labour pool and job requirements constitutes a significant barrier to economic development and job growth. Moreover, the difficulty in effectively distributing the workforce due to a scarcity of vacancies further exacerbates the situation. This scenario, marked by an overabundance of the workforce and a shortage of jobs, eventually results in an elevated unemployment rate. In such a context, it becomes critical for students, the prospective workers, to equip themselves appropriately. They must develop and showcase their work readiness, reflecting the skills and competencies required in the contemporary employment landscape. This need for preparedness becomes even more pertinent in the current epoch, characterized by the unfolding of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. The study at hand aimed to delve into this context and shed light on some significant parameters of work readiness in the era of Industry 4.0. Utilizing a quantitative research approach, it sought to ascertain the relationship among three key variables: self-efficacy, digital mindset, and resilience. Self-efficacy refers to an individual's belief in their capabilities to meet specific tasks or objectives, which is fundamental in a constantly evolving work environment. A digital mindset is the ability to adapt and thrive in a digitalized environment, which is central to the era of Industry 4.0. Resilience, on the other hand, pertains to the ability to recover from setbacks and adapt well to change, an essential attribute given the volatile nature of the modern business landscape. The results of this study underscored a significant and positive relationship among these variables. It pointed towards an interconnectedness between self-efficacy, digital mindset, and resilience, and their cumulative relationship on work readiness in the context of Industry 4.0. This implies that an individual's work readiness is significantly influenced by their sense of self-efficacy, their ability to operate within a digitalized context, and their resilience to change and adversity. In conclusion, the findings suggest a potential course of action for augmenting work readiness, particularly among the recipients of the Bank Indonesia scholarship. The recommendation implies enhancing self-efficacy, cultivating a digital mindset, and fostering resilience. By focusing on these areas, it becomes possible to bridge the gap between the skills and competencies of the workforce and the expectations and needs of the business environment, thereby reducing unemployment and bolstering economic growth.
