The coastal erotion processes affect the decreasing of mangrove land gradually. That processes causes the land being extremely eroded and become closer to the Citarum River. The sea water intrusion occurs within the decreasing land magroves. It makes serious problem of the fresh water need. If erosion persists, the increased of sea water intrusion might result in the convergence of the pond area with the Citarum river. The aim of this research is to simulate how the "Building with Nature" building can be applied as a mitigation strategy. Data was collected through field surveys, satellite image analysis, and library observations to evaluate the impact of the proposed solutions. The simulations were performed using Delft3D software with bathymetry, sediment characteristics, wind, tide and discharge input data. Apart from simulating natural conditions, several scenarios were also arranged based on the placement of permeable structures and combined with the flood way. From several simulated scenarios, the best scenario was selected where sedimentation could form in the eroded area. It is intended that the findings of this study will assist the coastal community of Muara Beting in reconstructing pond land that has been harmed by coastal erosion, allowing the locals to carry on with their pond-related livelihoods. text
