In Indonesia, there are many weaving-producing regions such as Sumatra, Bali, East Nusa Tenggara, West Nusa Tenggara, and others. One of them is Bena Village in Ngada Regency, East Nusa Tenggara. Bena Village produces a variety of woven products, ranging from large-sized woven fabric commonly found to other products such as accessories and keru. Ngada passes down its motifs to villages producing woven fabric within its region, including Bena Village. This results in Bena Village not having a distinctive motif originating from its own region. In the process of weaving fabric, which has been passed down through generations, there are many factors influencing its design development, including shape, color, motif, as well as environmental factors such as traditions and cultural practices of the people there. Human factors, such as providing training or workshops related to the development of weaving, especially the development of motifs on fabric, also play a role. This needs to be further analyzed and serves as a foundation for creative individuals there to develop new ideas while maintaining the existence of weaving in Indonesia. This research uses a qualitative descriptive research method that will examine an object, place, culture, and its system to obtain results regarding the influence and development on the design of woven fabric products. Design thinking are also used to study the history of the development of ikat weaving, manufacturing techniques, concepts, forms, and to provide recommendations for the development of new motifs so that Bena Village has a original and unique motifs from the village. text
