Description
Summary:Bandung is one of the largest metropolitan cities in Indonesia where there are dense and religious activities accompanied by high mobility, resulting in higher space requirements. One form of public space is the road corridor, where the road corridor refers to the roadside for pedestrians and the front yard between building facades. This research will focus on one of the road corridors located in Bandung City, which is located on Jalan Cikutra. The presence of various activities in the corridor has led to high activity in the corridor, especially strategic activities such as health and education that require smooth movement patterns. Strategic activities have the potential to be disrupted because the corridor cannot function optimally due to accumulation in the road corridor space. Therefore, to deal with the many complexities of the problems that occur in the Cikutra - Cicadas Road Corridor, an effort to structure the problem is needed to be able to describe the problem. The purpose of this research is to formulate recommendations for handling the arrangement of the Cikutra - Cicadas Road Corridor so that it can function optimally as a public space. This research method uses a qualitative approach and problem structuring based on Dunn. Based on the results of the problem structuring, it is found that the handling of the problems faced by the Cikutra - Cicadas Road Corridor can be handled according to the characteristics of each problem structure. Where the more difficult the problem is identified and handled and involves many stakeholders, it needs to be handled at the city government level and special programs are also needed. As in the problem of congestion, poor circulation, and pedestrian paths. Meanwhile, problems that tend to be identified and handled easily by several related stakeholders can be handled through further study or budget preparation by each related stakeholder.
