Microbial injection in based on the ability of microbes to give bioproduct such as gas, surfactant, polymer which hopely can release oil in the reservoir. By injecting bacterialinnokulum into reservoir and after a certain periods, the residual oil could be released.
The purpose of this research is to see the effect of microbial injection in petrophysic properties (porosity, permeability, wettability) and fluid properties (interfacial tension, viscosity, density, oil swelling). The sample in form of core plug, crude oil, water formation are taken from HB and ER Field, in Central of Sumatera.
The result of observation indicate porosity values increase between 2 to 4 %, permeability values increase between 3 to 22 % and goes trend wettability changing from oil wet to water wet. In fluid properties indicate interfacial tension value decrease between 0.98 to 15.29 %, viscosity values decrease between 4.82 to 27.10 %, specific gravity values decrease between 2.91 to 8.00 % and swelling factor values between 1.01 to 1.04. |
