Description
Summary:Ride-hailing as an innovative urban mobility service has received increasing attention in recent decades, especially in DKI Jakarta. The condition of public transportation in DKI Jakarta is quite good and good compared to other cities, but so far it is not known how the impact of ridehailing on increasing traffic volume, whether this ride-hailing will make the frequency of people movement rise higher. This study aims to explore the influence of ride-hailing services on changes in the rise of private vehicle movements in DKI Jakarta. The method used is the binary logit regression analysis method with the dependent variable of vehicle ownership plan and multinomial logit with the dependent variable of frequency of use of private vehicles and the volume of generation of private vehicle movements. Data collection through field surveys consists of socioeconomic, movement characteristics, and perceptions of ride-hailing services. A total of 669 observations were collected through field surveys. Overall, ride-hailing has a significant impact on changes in the volume of private vehicle movement in DKI Jakarta by 44.2% SKR / week in the phase before to after routinely using ridehailing services . Students are the dominant group that has experienced a decrease in the use of private vehicles, indicating that this service has the potential to be an alternative for them. Recommendations for this are improving transportation efficiency and reducing congestion and restrictions on private vehicle ownership
