As a country that has most of its territory in the form of oceans, the survival of Indonesian people is very dependent on sea conditions, especially for those who live in coastal areas. However, coastal communities often face serious challenges due to coastal deterioration caused by erosion. One of the areas directly affected is Pulau Untung Jawa Beach, Thousand Islands, DKI Jakarta. Therefore, it is necessary to build coastal protection structures that can overcome damage in the coastal areas of Untung Java Island due to erosion. Coastal protection construction planning begins by analysing shoreline subsidence through GENESIS. Simulations were also conducted to compare several coastal structure options, including breakwater and groin. After that, the most suitable structure is selected based on needs. An option to solve the problem on Untung Java Island is a breakwater placed as far as 50 m from the coastline. This configuration involves 3 breakwaters with a distance of 50 m between each and a length of 75 m. This breakwater is designed with a peak elevation of +2.41 m from the bottom of the water, using natural stone as protection.
