Description
Summary:The energy crisis poses significant challenges globally, with Indonesia being particularly vulnerable. This crisis threatens the very sustainability of Indonesian society. Recognizing the urgency, the United Nations (UN) initiated the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) program, comprising 17 interconnected objectives aimed at fostering a sustainable global future. Key to realizing these goals is the adoption of innovative technologies in everyday life. One such technology is Light Emitting Diode (LED) lighting, which stands out for its energy efficiency, environmental friendliness, and extended lifespan compared to traditional lighting solutions like incandescent or fluorescent bulbs. Beyond technological advancements, it's imperative to elevate public awareness and understanding of LED technology. This research explores the level of knowledge among the youth, specifically adolescents aged 15 to 18, about LEDs through social media platforms. We conducted an experimental demonstration of creating white light using a sequence of RGB (red, green, and blue) LED lights. Subsequently, a qualitative questionnaire was administered, gauging participants' perceptions of white light content on social media. Through a descriptive approach, this study sheds light on the public's familiarity with LED technology, aiming to inform strategies for broader awareness and adoption.
