An alternative variation of the modified Cuk converter has been described with inductor repositioning. Multiphase topology as well as inductor repositioning variations in the modified Cuk converter have been described. Such topologies can suppress current ripple and provide lower voltage losses than conventional converters. A multilevel topology using the base cell of the modified Cuk converter has been described with a total of 4 levels and a combination of multiphase topology in the first cell. In this topology, a closed loop control system is also proposed. A cascade topology using a modified Cuk converter base cell has been described with 3 levels. A closed loop control system is also proposed for this topology. Analysis, calculations, simulations, and experiments have been carried out on all the proposed topologies. Efficiency and power loss calculations have also been explained. Laboratory experimental prototypes have also been made and experiments conducted to verify the calculation and simulation results. text |
