Summary: | The Situ Bulakan Environment Community Center, Tangerang City, is a public facility that aims to accommodate community activities regarding the environment in Tangerang City and increase public knowledge and sensitivity to environmental conditions. This design final project discusses the design of an environmentally sound drainage system by temporarily accommodating rainwater runoff and reusing rainwater to minimize the discharge of rainwater into city drainage. Drainage is designed based on the 5 year return period flood discharge. The design of water resources consists of hydrological analysis to obtain planned rainfall, design of drainage channels, analysis of water demand and water availability, design of retention ponds and rainwater tanks. To drain rainwater from the catchment to the rainwater tank, horizontal and vertical gutters are also designed in the related buildings.
The Environment Community Center consists of 8 buildings (Main Building, Commercial Building, Greenhouse, Supporting Building, Water Treatment Building, Waste Treatment Building, Receiving Building, Public Toilet). Shallow foundations are designed for each building by carrying out bearing capacity analysis, sliding analysis, overturning analysis, and foundation settlement analysis. The design of a retaining wall is carried out to hold the soil so that landslides do not occur in the retention pond. |
