Water resources can come from surface water or ground water. However, the user community is starting to choose groundwater as a mainstay for meeting their needs because groundwater is cleaner, free of bacteria, has a large carrying capacity, and almost no evaporation occurs. Massive use of groundwater by the community causes problems if it is not monitored properly. As a result of excessive groundwater extraction, groundwater levels will decrease. If this happens, it will have a negative impact on the environment, such as salt water intrusion, decreased groundwater quality, and land subsidence. The occurrence of land subsidence is often not felt, but over a long period of time, this subsidence will become a significant magnitude. In this thesis, a study is carried out regarding the correlation between land subsidence and groundwater level decline, the volume of groundwater extraction, land use conditions and demography of the Bandung basin. From the results of this study, there is a correlation between changes in land surface and changes in ground water level in the Bandung basin. Changes in land use in the Bandung basin, especially in the KBU (North Bandung Region) and the population increase from year to year, are correlated with changes in land surface which continue to decline. text
